Keep personal links in a locked collection

What you need

You need a linqlo account and an online device. First check that you can select the same workspace on the Web. Free allows up to 500 saved links. Check your remaining capacity and the pricing page.

The result

The Just for me collection holds harmless learning references. Keep it separate from everyday collections and check its lock state in Settings.

Steps

1. Register a passkey

Open Private in Settings. Choose the setup action, name your passkey, and complete device authentication. Check that the passkey appears in the registered list.

2. Make a standalone collection private

Create an empty collection, open its collection settings, and turn on Private. Confirm the change before adding links. Use a new standalone collection: a public collection, a nested collection, or one with children cannot be made private.

3. Save a harmless link and lock

Save one public document and confirm its destination. Lock the collection, then check that the link does not appear in the ordinary list or search.

4. Unlock and open the original

Unlock Private with your passkey and open the saved link. When finished, lock it explicitly and confirm the locked state.

5. Check the lock before leaving

Check the state again after leaving and returning. Use the lock action before screen sharing; do not assume switching tabs always locks it immediately.

If saving or finding a link fails

If a saved link is missing, check the account, workspace, and collection, clear unwanted search or tag filters, and reload. After an error or lost connection, check for an existing copy of the URL before retrying. If signed out, sign in and recheck the destination and URL. If shared content is not restored, copy its URL again from the source and add it manually.

Capabilities and conditions

If your passkey is unavailable, use the recovery action in the unlock dialog. Request a code at your registered email address and register a new passkey. The code expires after 15 minutes; request another if it expires. This does not promise anonymity, end-to-end encryption, screenshot prevention, or deletion of browser history. Relocking behavior must be checked separately on Web and distributed apps.

Common questions

What if the title or image is missing?

Check the original URL and add a recognizable title if needed. Do not use thumbnail availability as proof of a successful save; check that the list opens the intended URL.

Does saving preserve the original forever?

This guide covers organizing URLs. Deletion, visibility changes, and login requirements depend on the destination. It does not permanently store social images or video files.
